Vacation in Nefeli Villas & Suites – a story for the good life and the well-spent free time

At the end of August, it was finally my time for sea and rest (and for some pictures;)). After a lot of busy months of events, projects and changes – in my personal and professional life, I needed calm and rest.
That’s why for my vacation this year I chose Nefeli Villas & Suites. The complex is located in Nea Skioni – on the First finger of Halkidiki – Kassandra.
We left Sofia late in the morning without hurrying. The roads in Greece are very good and comfortable for traveling. We were getting closer to Nea Skioni and the views that were revealed in front of us were getting more and more beautiful.
Nefeli Villas & Suites is a resort that consists of self-contained suites and villas in which you have a sense of privacy and at the same time – you are not far from people and social life (extremely important to me). The place creates a sense of spaciousness and tranquility – from the green lawns in front of the villas, the olive trees, the blue pool with cozy lounges.
Within meters away, just cross the road, there is the beach surrounded by a small beautiful church (we have witnessed at least 6 marriages there during the stay), a garden lounge and the restaurant – Aelia. The restaurant serves breakfast for guests of the complex and we enjoyed an exclusive dinner with local specialties prepared on site. Everything was fresh and extremely delicious.
The Nefeli Villas & Suites team is hospitable, friendly and very kind. All the time I felt like staying at close friends I’ve known for years. The place is perfect for total relaxation, and if you are like me and need to go exploring and find new places even on holiday, Kassandra is a great option. Although I did not manage to visit everything (which gives me a great reason to come back again next summer), I recommend paying attention to:
Afitos – a picturesque and lovely village with a unique view of the sea, many flowers and typical architecture. There are fabulous local shops, where you can get tempted to buy a pair of Greek sandals for 20 euros and a cool bracelet with beads and eyes;)
Sani Beach – a beautiful resort with a stylish and elegant marina with luxury yachts which attracts every year tourists from all over the world with its summer music festival
Umbrellas – the beach with a super-cool beach bar, with great music that made me feel like I was in The Great Gatsby movie.
Last night, before we head back to Sofia, Nea Skioni gave us one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen and will keep in my heart. I sat on the beach, watched nature change colors in a few minutes’ time and that made me think of Kerouak’s words:
