Don’t like traditional Halloween – check my chic idea!

I do not know about you guys, but I’ve never been into these Halloween outfits, the “scary” makeup or the sexy masquerade costumes. So far it has been easy because I just did not succumb to these excitements. This year though, I received an invitation I really wanted to accept. So, I got the idea of an outfit, which is chic, stylish and carries the masquerade spirit.
In fact, before telling you about the outfit idea, I will share why I not a fan of all this terrible masquerading. I think it is pointless nowadays to buy costumes that are of bad quality, coming from the other side of the world, which are to be put on once, then hanging around at home until they reach the garbage. This just doesn’t feel right and is far from any sustainable approach. I feel way much closer the idea of Venice carnival than pumpkins, bleeding faces and naked witches.
My idea is easy to implement, it stabs chic and elegance and can be worn long after October 31. I took one of my favorite formal black dresses, polka-dot stockings, Black-swan style mask. I played a little with the dark dramatic makeup on eyes and lips, I drew a beauty-spot and voilà!
What about you, will you dress up for Halloween?
