Pro Fiber and Me-time

Today I am sharing with you my personal experience with hair care therapy Pro Fiber by L’Oréal Professionnel. I started couple of weeks ago with a procedure at the hairdresser’s. Together with Mitko Dinev we discussed my habits and way of treating my hair, did a test and selected the most adapted care*.
therapy starts at the salon – after diagnostic there is a special in-salon treatment that is applied on the hair. This is the first step of the program, a concentrate which regenerates hair from inside out on a cellular level and after each wash with the shampoo it’s been reactivated. It is important to remember that each 4th hair wash with Pro Fiber shampoo should be accompanied by application of the recharge booster (this is the at-home treatment). Boosters are 6 in total and after last one has been applied, series is over, a short break should be done and new diagnosis at the salon is to follow – according to experts’ advice.
Briefly, that is the treatment itself, I started a bit reticent. I love my hair and think it is a very important element of my overall look. However, I have to admit, at home I am kind of speeding up to finish with washing, styling and care (it’s not my strongest side indeed). This means, I’ve always looked for the fastest and most efficient solutions.
Now, respecting those easy but important instruction in a number of steps to follow, I remembered again how good it feels to take some time off for myself. To take care for your hair, help it recover from all damages it’s been bearing.
I admit, I’ve been a bit skeptical at the very beginning**, but after 4th wash and recharge booster application I saw first very convincing results. Booster smells really good and makes hair vivid, easy to comb and shiny. You have to apply it after the shampoo, leave it in for 10 minutes and rinse it very well.
As shampoo is a bit heavier for me, it is possible to use another shampoo for the roots*** and apply this one on the lengths. Also, as it is well concentrated, you have to put a smaller quantity than usual.
For me the experience goes on. This small ritual and small steps to follow made me slow down a bit and reminded me how beautiful it is to take care of yourself and to give you some me time.
* Restore is the treatment in my case, products selection includes shampoo, mask, leave-in hairspray and the Re-charge booster.
** Anyway, no matter what we do, I think for a sustainable result one must be persistent – otherwise it won’t work.
*** I use a formula with green clay a scalp detox and adapted to the seasonal condition of my hair.
